Eyes on Diabetes

Eyes on Diabetes is an online resource for diabetic retinopathy in Australia. This site has been developed by the Eyes on Diabetes Forum for use by Health Professionals, People with Diabetes, Carers and the Wider Community.

A high priority for this project was accessibility. We decided to aim high and work toward WAI-AAA, the highest possible rating of conformance to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 as set by the Web Accessibility Initiative.

Conformance to these Guidelines will help make the Site more accessible to users with disabilities.

By allowing the user to switch between stylesheets we managed to overcome an even bigger challenge - to conform to the strict guidelines and still produce a great looking site!

The site also features a comprehensive Content Management System that uses Editize^TM, SitePoints very own rich text editor. More about Editize^TM.
