iBurra

Burra Foods manufacture natural cheese products, milk preparations and fresh dairy products. With locations in Melbourne, Gippsland and Japan, Burra Foods required an intranet and extranet to improve communication and access to their employees and suppliers.

Specific tools have been developed for Burra's Suppliers - the diary farmers. The results of laboritory tests are uploaded (in XML) to the iBurra server by the Lab Technicians as they become available. Suppliers can log in at any time to view their results and monitor changes in relation to historical data. Furthermore, suppliers are alerted via SMS, fax or email as soon as their milk results fall outside their individually set milk result parametres. Suppliers also have access to their financial information which enables them to compare past performance and anticipate future payments.

For the staff, a custom built forum ties into a document management system which facilitates, version control and public or private discussion. Other features include a news publishing system, Staff directory and private messaging system that is integrated with their regular email accounts.
